Infinite Mode meets Steam leaderboards

How the NumWorlds team built Infinite Mode with Steam puzzle leaderboards for Early Access, without turning cozy play into timer panic.

Infinite Mode keeps the NumWorlds chaining loop going when you are not in the mood for a campaign chapter. Same adjacent numbers, same target thinking, no story endpoint telling you to stop.

NumWorlds Infinite Mode and mini-game style boards
Endless boards for practice nights. Rivalry stays optional.

We built it for evenings where you want one more clean board, and for players who like measuring improvement. Steam leaderboards let Early Access PC players compare runs without turning every campaign level into a score attack.

There is still no timer panic in the core fantasy. You can pause, rethink a chain, and chase elegance instead of speed alone. That mix matters if you came here for a cozy 3D puzzle Steam experience and still enjoy optional rivalry.

Campaign biomes stay the travel heart. Infinite Mode is the practice lane beside them.

Infinite Mode does not replace Atlantis, Cretaceous, or the Ireland roadmap chapter. Handcrafted Unreal Engine 5 biomes stay the travel heart of the game. Think of Infinite Mode as the practice lane next to the worlds map.

During Steam Early Access we will keep watching fairness, clarity, and fun in how scores read. Community notes from Discord help more than silent dashboards. If something feels opaque, tell Black Pug Studio.

New to the mechanic? Spend a few minutes on how to play first so leaderboard runs are about skill, not confusion. Then open the Infinite Mode hub on the site for the longer evergreen explainer.

Wishlist the Steam build if you want this lane during Early Access, and follow news when we publish balance or presentation tweaks. Galway is listening.
